Planning the Future of Scofieldtown Park & Yard:

Scofieldtown Park is a 17-acre parcel of City owned land in the North Stamford neighborhood, bordered by Scofieldtown and Rockrimmon Roads at 1 Rockrimmon Road. The site will undergo capping and closure as a former landfill.

Project Information

The City has retained the services of Aris Land Studio to develop a schematic end-use plan for Scofieldtown Park and Yard to support public uses and City operations. Supporting team members include PRE/view Landscape Architects and Tighe & Bond.

Public participation to date has been provided through three public meetings held in fall 2013, as well as two online surveys. The first survey received 605 responses indicating preferred park activities and the second survey generated 160 responses on the preferred Conceptal Design. Concept B was the preferred design, shown now as Final Park Plan.
